World through Your eyes

Day 2 of Another day in Expo Basically the same old things... but it seems to me today.. [as i am typing this] that most of the time, instead of promoting Desktop PCs or our notebooks, i took abit of my time to play computer games. They only have one game installed - Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo. It's not bad, for each mode, [ eg. Deathmatch, Capture the flag] they have 2 maps. I think most of the time, we [ the part-timers ] were playing as the people coming or visiting our booth is even much lesser compared to yesterday. Well it's not like i din't try to bring in customers ... but u know since our company is not a branded company like compaq and dell, most people aint interested.. Any interesting that happens today ??? Well not really .. I see the same old pretty models in the camera shop, same old faces in the booth, Same old customers who treat u like a transparent glass .. Haiz.. But there are a few little new things that i saw today. I saw the host for English ve...

My 1st day at Expo [ Part - time job] Woke up in the morning ... had to travel to Changi region. I am supposed to meet Nig and Ah hui at Expo Mrt control Station. Ah Hui woke up late so he will be there late. We gathered outside Hall 5 beside Orange Julius. Well basically everyone looks ready and prepared to attack customers ... haha i mean attact customers to buy coms. They seem to have every com specs in our offer list at their finger tips. DARN , i really noe nothing about pc parts like SDram and blah blah ... lol so o am prepared to tok rot/crap. The first few hours of the session seems to be like a give-out-pamphlets session. We stand at the door way giving our brochures to visitors since the Exhibition just started. Some visitors are typical Kiasu Singaporeans [--]' chiong for all the brochures... there are some who smile and take ... some who dun smile and dun take .. and some that just walk past you like you were even there.. Well basically, my pay system works like ...

Hmmm ... sorry no posting ini the past few days .. because ermm buzy ... and b'cos i am playing gunbound .. Well i have achieved metal axe !!! hehehe ... but still poor :( ... Anyway my job starts on thursday and till now i haven done any revision on SAT and do my homework.. Very slacky rite?? .. hehe tat's how hjoliday's meant to be spent ... Hockey today was super duper. We play against Yio Chu Kang Secondary ... friendly matchWe play against bery small kids and also the bigger boys as well.. It seems they r not bad ... but we scored most of de goals :) Their coach is also bery funny .... Always say funny stuffs ... and of course he also scold his team frequently to "wake up their idea". But the words he used .. quite offensive most of the time .... AFter the training, i went for my 1st hockey outing and makan at SMU foodcourt. I ate chap chai beng ... lol i noe it's none of yr business .. Den we went to play CS near parklane. After my adventurous trip to eliminate opposin teams ... i went for a very interesting class outing ... ya y? cos it's only 5 pple including me ... disappointin huh? Most cannot make it cos of workshadowing .. blah blah blah... It so happen that my friends are playin pool at parklane. As we proceed to meet our frens .. we bump into this guy giving out brochures about a new CS la...

-= Job interview =- Since i passed out my chane on a work attachment ... i've decided to try to take on a job with a reasonable pay.. Guess what .. we've got one 4 $10 / hr ... as a student coordinator. The job is basically to match a tutor with a child-in-need-of-tutor. Another + point is that it is home-basedand on-time, on-target. But if that is so ... how do they track the no. of hours u dedicate yrself to work ? I am abit fuzzy abt the details but we din want the job in the end after thinkin thru' a little. Firstly, the job requires training .. with a fee of $12 ... which is like for only 1/2 hr ?!! Secondly, we still need to go thru a week of 'trial period' where we work at home and match tutors with parents. In total we need to earn $100 of commission b4 we can be accepted. To me, i think it's abit slow ... and with so many student coordinators around .. it might be take us a long time to earn the money. Moreover, they did not say a place is definitely ...

-= Hockey Training=- Simply fantastic ... The training starts at 7.30. When i was there .. i only saw mr. sinus and stanley ong [--]' WHERE IS THE HOCKEY TEAM !??!? Am i saboed to come early?? Later, i saw ah Hui. He came specially to hand in some PW stuffs to his Supervisin Tutor. He seems bery tired ... like just spend the night doing something ermm mysterious ... haha =P Anyway .. i finally met a Ah Hao from hockey.. and soon more arrive ... at a later time of course... Damnz .. all of them are late ... By the time the teacher - In - Charge arrive ... there were like only around 11 of us ... zzz ... Guess what we are goin to have next ?? yup 2.4 km run ... I din sleep well last nite ... and i dunno how long i can last ... Good thing is ... i last thru the whole thing .... without walking ... haha i noe i am pathetic ... long time no practise .... I keep reminding myself what Dr. Robert EKH said in the last service .. which is very impactful " Thru christ ....

We rode to the maze garden ... *sigh* 3rd time goin... and den we cycled to the playground The girls went to play the swing and the ...ermm and dunno what u call that ... something like a less-challenging-type of flying fox swing .... yupz .. and after that we cycled more ,, and stop at a small beach for a rest. We went for some photo-taking sessions .. with lotsa dragonflies flying around ... and mosquitoes buzzing by ... ha We cycled here and there and everywhere ... until it starts to rain ... [--]' Actually it's drizzling ... and i den somehow turtle and me got separated from the rest of the group .. Men .. fina...

Damn, turtle got to rolelr blade while i had to stay @ home and do pw ... damn turtle's life is good. Anyway had yum yum beancurd ... i mean almond beancurd again today :P ... taste good and yummy .. blessed taste buds. something to share ... Haiz ... Well we sorted our PW file today. Well, as usual we are surprised by the humongous things that we have not do. Well i started to do redo my timeline and agenda. Spent approximately 2 hours there doing. Later i went doen for a snack. MEt Jing Feng ... got anew hairstlye from him. Apparently he tried to spike my hair and give me a new look ... but it seems my hairtsyle looks just the same. Well he certainly did a great job messing it up and i don't now wat's the pulling and massaging for .. My, what did u call, yah .. hair erector muscle is under constant torment during that period ... I din get a new hair-look ... only appear more lion-like. Later i went up to complete some of the unfinished documents. Met with Jayadev and he told me lots of stories that make Professor James moo and me laugh. Well i can't say about whatever he told us in the library 'cos it is in a way offensive to someone. Don't worry we ain't gossiping behind people's back...

-=Oral Presentation=- Well, we were the 2nd group to present during the oral presentation ... The 1st group did quite well ... everyone answered nicely and perfectly during the Q & A ... After 15 mins of break, it's finally our turn to present. Really kanchiong or very nervous. One of the slides were skipped half-way to the next slides before the speaker could finish speaking the slide. I was in-charge of changing the slides ... [--] Great mistake for the start ... When it was turned my turn to present, well i just spoke de way i usually speak but abit louder this time. I fumbled or stutterted once in a while when explaining the technical solution for our plan.We scored another error again.. when my friend change slide before i could finish elaborating my poiint. Well i din noe tat at first until he told me after the whole thing. I was concentrating on finishing my speech. My speech reached about 6 mins according to my friends. Hockey tRaining - pitch training We went to CCAB pitch for hockey training.... Well the it was drizzling when we are warming up. While we are stretching our calfs the sprinkler system was on and de hockers were sprayed by water .. Everyone was totally drench but we still contined our training. We did sprinting exercises while being continuously sprayed by de sprinkler. At the end of our exercises, the sprinkler stops. [--]' Well the next part of the training was abit catastrophic Though we did normal training passes and shooting, under the hot sun, we were more tired than usual. Friday ..... It all begins with Chinese A0 -level examination. Before the examination i was kinda *Lost* [--] I misread my seating read ... so i was seen running around tables and chairs finding a place to seat when everyone is seated down. .. it's like playing musical chairs and u know you are kicked out, 'cos u don't have a seat! OK today is PW day ...
